ABSTRAK

YUNA PURWARSO. Motivasi Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Sipil Menjadi Guru SMK (Studi di Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta). Skripsi. Jakarta: Jurusan Teknik Sipil, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Maret 2010.

Tujuan operasional penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai motivasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Sipil menjadi guru SMK.

Tempat penelitian dilakukan pada Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Populasi terjangkau dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Sipil Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2006, 2007, 2008 dan 2009 sebanyak 313 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan pengambilan sampel bertingkat (berstrata) sebanyak 99 responden. Metode penelitian yang digurnakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dengan jumlah 28 butir pertanyaan yang telah di uji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (rxx) = 0,912.

Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang cukup baik untuk menjadi seorang guru, karena diperoleh rerata > 3,00 untuk indikator kebutuhan, kemampuan, keluarga, masyarakat, nama baik UNJ, dan kesejahteraan. Namun pada motivasi intrinsik diperoleh rerata 2,95 pada indikator cita-cita, ini menunjukkan jika cita-cita mereka menjadi guru berada pada kategori sedang yang berarti masih meragukan untuk bersedia menjadi seorang guru.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ABSTRACT

Yuna PURWARSO. Student Motivation Study Program in Civil Engineering Education Teachers Become High School (Studies in the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta). Skripsi. Jakarta: Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, in March 2010.

Operational objective of research is to obtain information about the motivation of students in Civil Engineering Education Study Program into vocational school teachers.

The study conducted at the Department of Civil Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The population covered in this study were students of Education Faculty of Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta force in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 as many as 313 students. The sampling technique using multilevel sampling (stratified) of 99 respondents. The research method is quantitative descriptive digurnakan. The instrument used was a questionnaire with 28 items of questions that have been tested for validity and reliability (rxx) = 0.912.

The results showed that there are intrinsic and extrinsic motivations are good enough to become a teacher, because the obtained mean> 3.00 for the indicator needs, abilities, families, communities, good name UNJ, and welfare. But in the mean of intrinsic motivation gained 2.95 on the ideals of the indicator, this shows if their ambitions to become a teacher in middle category which means that there are doubts to be willing to become a teacher.
